Switz
I always thought people want to move to Switzerland because of winter and like you know, living near the Alps is cool. No one ever told me why, so all along when someone tells me I want to migrate to Switzerland, i think they're some chocolate lover who wants to climb The Alps.
But, i went to do some research out of boredom, so here's what i found.
Switzerland:
It has an area of 41,285 km sq, Population 7.8 Million.
Singapore:
Area 710.2 km sq, Population 5 million AND GROWING RAPIDLY.
Immediately, Switzerland scores 1 point.
Switzerland: per capita GDP of $67,384
Singapore: $56,226
Switzerland has not been in a state of war internationally since 1815. (Good, little political conflict like SG)
The nominal per capita GDP is higher than those of the larger western European economies and Japan, ranking 6th behind Luxembourg, Norway, Qatar, Iceland and Ireland.
(Definitely richer than SG)
In 2006 life expectancy at birth was 79 years for men and 84 years for women. It is among the highest in the world.
(Actually i don't care about life exepectancy, don't wanna live that long anyway, just don't wanna die horribly)
See, after reading all these, im amazed. Not bad.
I can't find details on like natural disasters but i don't hear of many reports, or maybe the Alps will melt and everyone will drown. Haha, im blabbering nonsense out of my tiny brain.
So its not just chocolate (i don't know why i think chocolate) and mountains and snow. Lol!
Oh and they have awesome style, i went on Lookbook to check out the clothes people there wear, thinking it'd be like huge coats and stuff, but its really cool, and great.
Now i want to go to Switzerland too :] At least i say it after i checked up the details and stuff.
Hahaha, So, if those who want to migrate to Switzerland and have so specific reason (like my sister), or the reason is "Its less stressful than Singapore" btw, i doubt so, i think its just as competitive and stressful, as their quality of life is better. But, at least now you can say its richer than SG? hahahah. I know, its less crowded!
Some even say they have good looking guys there :]
